HRCH Gator Point's Bayou Chopper earned his Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title in March, 2008. He is training for and participating in the Hunting Retriever Club's hunt test program with Jimmy Wilson from Mathiston, Mississippi. Chopper will be running the HRC Fall 2008 International Fall Grand in October, 2008. Chopper will begin pursuing his HRC Upland Hunter (UH) title in the near future. He will also begin running in AKC events to pursue his Master Hunter (MH) title.

Noted in his pedigree: his sire, GRHRCH UH Dakota's Cajun Roux MH, is well known in the retriever world for his accomplishments. At the age of three, "Roux" holds the Hunting Retriever Club's (HRC's) Grand Hunting Retriever Champion (GRHRCH) and (UH) Upland Hunter titles and the American Kennel Club's (AKC's) Master Hunter (MH) title. Roux's competitive edge lead him to Third Place at the 2005 El Campo, Texas Super Retriever Series; earning his entry to the Super Retriever Series Crown Championships where he remains the youngest dog in history to to ever compete in this event and the only chocolate to ever qualify.

Roux's sire, GRHRCH UH Missy's Cajun Dakota MH ("Cody"), holds the title for the most passes ever attained in the Hunting Retriever Club's (HRC's) International Grand Hunts - with 13. Cody achieved many other great achievements in his lifetime. Learn more about Roux and his sire, Cody, by visiting GRHRCH UH Dakota's Cajun Roux MH and Autrey Kennels.
